Despite being out of competitions, Nelson Évora remains alert to the specialty that he embraces and he's training to be at the top next season.
The return of Christian Olsson (Sweden) and the appearance of Teddy Tamgho (France) mark the times of the Triple Jump world since Nelson had to stop the competitions for the recovery of a surgical operation. It's been a season of high level in the triple jump and promises to have a better level next season, when Nelson Évora returns into action. Now Teddy Thamgo (France) is the global figure of Triple Jump after he jumped 17,98 meters, one of the longest jumps of the specialty in recent years, doing justice to the title and indor world record. Behind him there are the usual athletes such as Philips Idowu (Britain), Alexis Copello (Cuba), Arnie Girat (Cuba), Viktor Kuznyetsov (Ukraine), Yoandri Betanzos (Cuba), Christian Olsson (Sweden), among others. In international meetings the fights between all the best of the world are and will continue to be exciting, but the fight for the European Outdoor, French and British can relive the historical clashes with possible outsiders Ukraine, Sweden and Russia. The world top-10 of the season is like this, with all above 17 meters (!): 1. Teddy Tamgho (France) - 17.98 2. Philips Idowu (Great Britain) - 17.48 3. Alexis Copello (Cuba) - 17.47 4. Arnie Girat (Cuba) - 17.31 5. Viktor Kuznyetsov (Ukraine) - 17.23 6. Yoandris Betanzos (Cuba) - 17.22 7. Christian Olsson (Sweden)- 17.21 8. Benjamin Compaoré (France) - 17.21 9. Lyukman Adams (Russia) - 17.17 10.Osniel Tosca (Cuba) - 17.12 |
